David Barker

David “Joe” Barker, age 70, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. David was born in Dola, West Virginia on October 2, 1940. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Clay Barker. David is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Garnet V. Barker; brothers, Thomas Clay (Judi) Barker, Jr., John (Sandy) Barker; sister, Betty Roberts; nephews, Jason (Teresa) Roberts and their daughter, Lelia, Adam (Kim) Barker, Scott (Sarah) Barker; nieces, Lisa Barker, Karen DePoutot and Pamela White; and special friends, Lisa McMillen and Mary Saup. David was a member of West Broad Nazarene Church. He was a former CB’er known as Blabbermouth and loved listening to the radio. David loved all kinds of music. He had many friends at Heritage Daycare and Rx Home Health. He will be remembered for his vibrant personality and the love he had for his entire family. Visitation for David will be on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 5-7pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221; where funeral services will be on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11am, Pastor Wayne Beard officiating.
