David K. Beard

David K. Beard, age 63, passed away at the Dayton VA Hospital on Friday, March 25, 2011. He was born in Columbus on March 23, 1948, to the late A. Ray and Kathryn E. Beard, and he was a graduate of Whitehall High School. Dave served our country in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. After his service, he worked as an accountant for Owens-Illinois. Dave was a member of the NRA and Gun Owners of America, as well as the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and working on cars. Dave is survived by his brothers, Christopher (Eva) Beard and Steven (Sandra) Beard; son, Jason (Meghan) Beard and his mother, Tammy Rutter; grandchildren, Halle and Rylee Woodruff and Lincoln Beard; aunt, Pat Kimmel and cousins, Linda, Jody, Greg and Kate. Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E.
