David Eckart Cary

David E. Cary, age 93, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019. He was born on January 23, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Bradford H. and Mildred Cary. David was born in Columbus. He attended North High School and graduated from Linden McKinley High School. He earned a BS. In Economics and a BA. In Education at The Ohio State University, and a MS. In Education at Wittenberg College. David had a long and satisfying career as an Educator and as an Administrator in the Columbus Public School System. He enjoyed traveling, photography, and was an avid reader. He was also an avid OSU football fan. David was a member of Worthington United Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Eleanor; brother, Lowell Cary; and sisters-in-law, Ruth (Jim) Wagner Irwin, Betty Wagner Ray and Dorothy Wagner Clark. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Howard B. Cary; and brothers-in-law, John and James Wagner. Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Court, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. Due to the current health restrictions, the Memorial Service has been postponed and will be held at a later date.
