

David Alan DeVillers, age 69, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011. He was born in Columbus on January 5, 1942, and was a graduate of Holy Family High School. Dave worked as a manager for a grocery store, and he was a member of St. Matthias Church. He was an avid sports fan, especially of Ohio State football and basketball. He liked attending church festivals and garage sales, and he enjoyed model trains. He loved animals, especially his dog, Auggie. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Nestor H. and Margaret DeVillers; and by grandson, Scott. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dacia DeVillers; children, Lee DeVillers and Marie Blackwell; siblings, James (Rosemary) DeVillers, Daniel (Mary) DeVillers, Donna Miller, and Susan (Steve) Gross; grandchildren, Michael, Jasmen, Roy, Victoria, Tiffany, Desiree, Christopher, and Jah-Lee; and many other family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2011, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road.
