

David Dixon, age 64 of Columbus, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2010. David was born and grew up in Columbus, son of the late Donald and Irene Dixon. Proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He retired from United States Postal Service after 25 years. David was a very loving man who often showed his love by teasing people. He was very hard working and expected the same from others. No one will ever forget his strong will and determination. But above all, David lived life for his family, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, William “Bill” Dixon. He is survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Sue Dixon; daughters, Donna (Glenn) Cook and Lisa (Jeremy) Newman; grandchildren, Joey Cook, and Miranda, Hunter, and Ely Newman; sister, Carmen Lytle; brothers, James (Helen) and Donald Dixon; nieces, Carla Neal and Candy Reischman; and other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, January 8, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday.
