David O'Neil

David was born in Columbus, OH on December 5, 1935 to the late Joseph R. and Nannette Mitchem O'Neil. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Pasco O'Neil. Dave and Peggy met at Smith's Skating Rink, Columbus, OH and they married on June, 23, 1956.

Dave graduated from Thomas Aquinas High School, Columbus, OH in 1953. Employed as an engineer, Dave retired from Lennox Industries in 2002. When Lennox Industries, Columbus, OH, closed and moved to Marshalltown, IA in 1994, Dave was one of the first employees asked to transfer. He was a devoted and patient family man, employee and friend. A true handy man; there was nothing broken that he could not fix.

David is survived by daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Asman and son, David (Patricia) O'Neil II, grandchildren Brent (Megan) Asman, Christopher Asman, Allyssa Asman, Dr. Matthew (Dr. Tracy) O'Neil, Valencia, CA, Dr. Andrew (Stephanie) O'Neil, Westfield, IN and two precious great granddaughters, Sloane Asman and Palmer O'Neil.

David is survived by his brothers and sister, Dr. Joseph (Sara) O'Neil, Mary (John) Dimond, Mike O'Neil, Tom (Jane) O'Neil and many cousins, nieces, nephews. He was proceeded in death by sister, Lois (Bob) Myers, brother, James R. O'Neil (Brenda) and sister-in-law, Mary O'Neil.

Dave loved spending time with his family and was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather and we are blessed and grateful to have had him in our lives.

Funeral services will be held at the Schoedinger North Chapel, Worthington OH with calling hours from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
