Dolores Mary Chambers-Coon

Born July 3, 1932 in Tewksbury, Mass, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the age of 93 with her son, daughter-in-law and stepson by her side. Mom was married to Edwin L. Chambers, who preceded her in death in 1998. Son, Marc and sister, Josephine "Poochie" Dandrea, also preceded her in 1988 at age 29. Married to Harold I. Coon in 2000 until his passing in 2018. She is survived by her son, Lance J. Chambers and his wife Tracey L. Chambers of Johnstown, Ohio; stepson Gary Coon of Columbus, Ohio; grand-dogs (and horses!) Jack, Juliet, April, Harley and Valen.

She was an excellent mother to us growing up, made the best lasagna, meatballs, you name it! Loved going on cruises. She was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and you could always count on her to be cheering the team on. She worked as a switchboard operator throughout her career but most loved working at Mt. Carmel East Hospital where she made lifelong friends that stayed in touch with her even after she retired. She loved her dogs that kept her company throughout her life too. She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly. Special thanks to all at Johnstown Pointe Nursing Home who cared for my mom during her stay there, and to August from Hospice, You were of great comfort the last days she was with us.
