Dolores "Punky" Pethtel

Calling hours for Dolores M. “Punky” Pethtel, 75 of Heath, will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Dolores was born in Newark on May 16, 1935 to the late William and Delphia (Thomas) Ayers. She passed away at Grant Medical Center in Columbus on November 28, 2010.

Punky was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed watching soap operas, going to craft shows, flower gardening, cooking, collecting lighthouses and spending time with her family. Her favorite time was spent with her precious grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to lunch every month with her friends she graduated with.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles F. Pethtel, whom she married on November 7, 1955; seven children, Charles (Mary) Pethtel Jr., Timothy (Cherie) Pethtel, Dennis (Lisa) Pethtel, Tracy (Barbara) Pethtel, Martin (Lori) Pethtel, Kellie (Mark) Stuller, and Daniel (Shelley) Pethtel; step-son, Charles A. Pethtel; brothers and sisters, Helen Reed, William (Betty) Ayers, Tom Ayers and Ruth Vincent; 23 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Tipper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dolores to Grant Medical Center or the charity of your choice.
