Donald G. McElhoes Sr., 88, of Port Richey FL passed away on Nov. 26, 2009. He is survived by his wife Emma; children, Don (Susan), Patricia, Joan, and Kerry (Paul); 2 stepchildren, sister, Mira Helen; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great- grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his first wife Joyce of 50 years, mother Franc, father Samuel & brother Sam. He served in 2 wars, resided in Columbus for 40 years & retired from Rockwell Intl. Family will receive friends from 11am until the time of committal services at 11:45am and entombment at noon, Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9571 N. High St., Lewis Center, OH. Contributions may be made in Don’s name to hospice of donor’s choice. Local arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL (614) 436-9220.

My father passed on Thanksgiving day-after a lovely meal w/my siblings. He took a nap, never to wake up. It was a peaceful and happy way to part. With a heart attack in June he out lived doctor's expectations. Dad needed to say good bye -his way. Dad is with my mother Joyce & his Savior. He will miss all his family, friends and his loving wife Emma. I have been blessed! He was the BEST father! What a wonderful holiday to be grateful for a kind soul that touched so many lives.
