Bishop Donald Morrison, age 63, of Columbus, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He led the World Church of Jesus Christ since 2003. He served in the US Marine Corps and worked as a Contractor prior to receiving his Call. He enjoyed fishing and bowling and was proud to have won the Pastors’ Chili Cook Off last year. He is survived by his wife, Pastor Lalie Morrison; children, Tiy Johnson, Brandie Morrison, and Don Morrison; step-children, Guytress, Lyplus, and Shanty; eight grandchildren; sisters, Marie and Paige; brothers, Carlos and Freeman. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 10, 2012 at Travelers Rest Baptist Church, 1533 Cleveland Ave., where friends will be received after 10:00am Friday; private interment at Dayton National Cemetery; arrangements by Schoedinger Linden Memorial Chapel, 2741 Cleveland Ave., Columbus.
