Donald Pratt

Donald Pratt, age 73, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Riverside Hospital. Don was born in Ironton, Ohio on November 1, 1941. He grew up in Ironton and joined the US Air Force proudly serving his country from 1959 - 62. Don retired after 35 years as an Engineer from Conrail - NS Railroad. He belonged to the American Legion Post #532, AmVets Post #1928, VFW Post #4044, NAUS #15 A, and Moose Lodge #11. Don enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working in his yard planting trees. Preceded in death by his mother, Freda (Hanshaw) Rowley. Survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy Pratt; daughter, Tricia Pratt Barker; grandchildren, Kamrie, Chesney, and Boston; half-sister, Penny Dalton; mother-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Blackburn, sister-in-law, Marge (Dewey) Beaver, and brother-in-law, Jim (Vicki) Blackburn; many nieces and nephews; he will be sadly missed by his beloved dogs, Spud, Winston, and Woozle. Family invites you to at graveside service with military honors at 12 Noon on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Concord Cemetery (Hoover Rd at St.Rt. 665) with a gathering to follow at the American Legion Post #532, 1571 Demorest Rd. Memorial contributions can be made to a Veterans' Charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL.
