Donna Marie Carson

Donna Marie (Stahl) Carson, 65, of Columbus, made the glorious passing to eternal life on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2016 at The Kobacker House, carried by the love of her family and friends. Born in Cincinnati on August 15, 1950 to Edward Raymond Stahl and the late Marilyn Herschel Stahl, she was the oldest of five children. At age four, her family moved to Columbus, where she attended Willis Park Elementary before performing as a Highland Lassie for and graduating from Walnut Ridge Jr.-Sr. High School in 1969. In November 1970, Donna met her husband Jack Carson while attending The Ohio State University and they were married in November 1971. They have been best friends for the last 46 years. Donna loved working with the public, first in retail and later in banking. Donna was known for her professionalism, willingness to help others, her cheerful spirit, and her absolute commitment to customer service. Her clients and co-workers often became her lifelong friends. Donna and Jack made St. Luke Lutheran Church in Gahanna their church home for the last six years where she often read scripture for the contemporary service, enjoyed the Pastor's teaching and the fellowship of that congregation. Donna is survived by Jack Carson, her devoted husband of almost 45 years; daughters, Julie Carson of New Albany, and Natalie Carson of New Albany; father Ed Stahl, Sr. of Columbus; sisters, Susan Hines (Steve) of Reynoldsburg, Janis Stacy of Columbus, and Anita Doupnik (Craig) of Tampa, FL; and brother, Eddie Stahl, Jr. of Columbus. The family will be receiving friends at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road Gahanna, OH, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A Memorial Service celebrating Donna's life will be held immediately thereafter in the same location at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to send donations to the Kobacker House at 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, OH 43214.
