Donnie R. Payne, 60, of New Albany, passed away January 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Payne; mother, Mildred Elliott Payne and by his son, Randy Payne. Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; son, Donnie (Scarlett) Payne; grandchildren, Ronnie Nathaniel, Tiffany Lane; mother-in-law, Phyllis (Fred) Stewart; sister-in-law, Jeanette (Carl) Chandler; brother-in-law, Ed (Barb) Calvert; stepmother and sons, Ann, William, Todd and Jamie; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and a host of other family and friends. Donnie retired from Worthington Industries where he worked as a tool and dye maker. Donnie was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed playing Bluegrass music with his friends. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown Rd.
