Dorothy Blair

Dorothy Marie Blair, 80, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was born on September 21, 1940 in Columbus to the late Orval and Merley Wood. She was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School.

Throughout her life, Dorothy enjoyed shopping, bowling, sewing, and being around her family. She loved spoiling her grandchildren. She started as a cashier at Spencer's Gifts, later to retire in a management position.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ellen Johnson.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 64 years, Robert; her children, Adeana S. (Carl), Mellodie V. (Chris), Chris B. (Cathy), Darrin B. (Diane - deceased), and Brian B. (Allison); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, March 10, at 11am with Pastor Ruthford Blair to officiate. Interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.
