Dorothy Jane Carter, age 99, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at The Manor at Whitehall. She was born on September 23, 1918 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late August and Alice (Doyle) Grodrian. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Carter; daughter, Sue Ann Littler; siblings, Sister Mildred Celeste, and Ruth Honeck; son-in-law, Daniel Culp and daughter-in-law, Linda Miller. She is survived by her children, Sharon Culp and Michael Miller; grandchildren, Bill Littler, Christine Robinson, Kathy Littler, Joseph Kitchen, Michael Miller, Steve Miller, and Shane Littler; niece, Ann Wykes; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 10 am- 11 am Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 11 am with Msgr. David Funk officiating. Interment to follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery in Thornville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
