He is preceded in death by his wife Sheilah B. Janes and brother Julian G. Janes. Douglas is survived by his brother Ronald B. (Cheri) Janes; children Douglas P. Janes Jr., Gregory F. (Marlene) Janes, Jennifer J. (Sean) Finnegan and Stasie J. Wanner; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, New York.
