E. Jacqueline Young

E. Jacqueline "Jackie" Young, age 88, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016. She was born April 25, 1928 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Zee (Short) Hackney. She retired from Ohio Bell with 37 years of service. She was a longtime member of Briggs Road Baptist Church. Jackie was always on the go and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She liked to travel, shop, and go out to eat. She was very caring and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Young; brothers, William, Herbert, Edgil, Carl Hager, Joe; and James Hackney; sisters, Ivory Young, Lydia Culwell, Louella Jean Franks, Edith Miller, and Lake Kircher. Jackie is survived by her sons, Jerry (Cathy) Young and Michael Young; grandchildren, Greg (Mara) Young, Jamie (Dwight) Robinson, Justin Young, and Kyle Young; great-grandchildren, David, Kelsie, Kaela, Emily, Raeanne, and Hunter; brother, Paul (Louise) Hackney; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio where funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
