

Earl C. Fail, age 93 of Grove City passed away Friday, September 10, 2021. Earl was born in Columbus January 29, 1928 to the late Charles F. and Frances (Brown) Fail. Earl enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Korean War, first on the carrier U.S.S. Badoeng Strait and later on the carrier U.S.S. Tarawa. Earl worked as a shift foreman for Lennox Industries and retired after 38 years of dedicated service. Earl enjoyed fishing, hunting, and knocking the cover off the ball at Foxfire Golf Club. He enjoyed woodworking projects and sharing them with family. In his recent years, Earl excelled at coloring in adult coloring books. Above all he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; brothers Richard, Donald, Marion, and Stu; sisters Erva, Audrey, and Betty; and Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dwight and Amy Johnson. Earl is survived by his children Cynthia (Rex) Crossley, Clifton P. and Jeff (Dawn) Fail; grandchildren Michelle (John) Harding, Steven Fail, and Myranda (Andrew) Wotring; great- grandchildren Emma, Alex, Abby, Shelby, Emily, Finn, and Wednesday; and special nephew Larry Johnson. Earls' family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday and 9-10 AM Wednesday at Schoedinger Grove City 3920 Broadway where Earl's Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Wednesday. Interment with U.S. Navy Honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends, if they wish, may contribute to a veteran or cancer charity in Earl's memory.
