

Earl Michael Rohde, age 86, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Kobacker House. He was born January 10, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served our country during World War II in the Army Air Force as a radar technician. He attended both Bliss College and The Ohio State University majoring in accounting. He retired from Centners Interior Design Studio in 1993 with over 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic church for over 40 years. Earl was a faithful man who lived his life with great integrity. He will be remembered for his tremendous sense of humor, his ability to fix anything, and his love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; Earl Michael and Florence Cecelia (Fey) Rohde; son, Steven Rohde; grandson, Malaki Rohde; granddaughter, Lily Rohde and brothers, Martin Rohde and Victor Rohde. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen (Waugh) Rohde; sister, Therese (Ronnie) Shackelford; sons, David (Carol) Rohde and Christopher (Julia) Rohde; grandsons, Casey Alexander Rohde and Michael Steven (Kelly) Rohde; great-granddaughters, Ashlyn Rohde and Alicia Diane Rohde; a host of extended family members and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Dr., Columbus, OH 43229 where family will receive friends one hour prior; Fr. Tom Petry, Celebrant; interment 1pm in St. Colman Cemetery, Washington Court House, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in Earl’s memory.
