Edith Rose Cady

Edith R. Cady, age 89, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. She was born February 26, 1925 in Blacklick, OH to the late Walter and Bessie (Herren) Grey. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, William H. Cady; and brothers, William, Robert, Emerson, and Lawrence Grey. Edith, a "total family person," is survived by her sons, William "Bill" (Bobbie) Cady and James "Jim" (Gwen) Cady; grandchildren, Beth (Jim) Eckman, Rebecca (Carl) Gioffre, Jennifer (Jason) Gossett, Jessica (Richie) Reed, and Melissa Cady; great-grandchildren, Abbi, Andrew, Ava May, Giuliana, Chase, Julia, Emma, Payton, Morgan, Lukas, and Logan. Edith graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School and worked for Curtiss Wright Aircraft during WWII. She served as the sexton for Jefferson Township Cemetery for 15 years. Edith was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church and more recently Pickerington Nazarene Church. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at Pickerington Nazarene Church 11775 Pickerington Road, Pickerington. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.) Gahanna. Pastor Phil Manson officiating.
