

Edsel Lee "Ed" Johnson, 70, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was born January 30, 1948 in Jackhorn, Kentucky to the late Ora and Nadine (Sexton) Johnson. He was a 1967 graduate of Franklin Heights H.S. He was a hard worker and worked for several different fire protection companies and retired after 35 years from UA Local 669. Ed was a member of American Legion Post 164 and V.F.W Post 8198. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #689 F. and A.M. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed checking in on them. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Wayne Johnson. Ed is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Cathy; children, Tim Johnson, Sue (Ray Robinson) Hope, and Chod (Carie) Johnson; grandchildren, Kristyn Johnson, Caitlyn Johnson, Jadon Lee Johnson, and Reagan Catherine Johnson; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Kesselring; brother, Ora (Sheila) Johnson, Jr.; mother-in-law, Anna C. Corbin; beloved dog, Booger; and many other relatives and friends. In accordance with Ed's wishes, services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel.
