

He was a 1948 graduate of North High School and an active member of the Old North High Club. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict (1952-54) serving aboard the USS Des Moines (CA-134.) He was a 50-year member of New England Lodge #4 Free & Accepted Masons.
Ed retired from the Dispatch Printing Company after serving in various production roles over his 40-year career; he was a member of the International Typographical Union.
He derived much happiness sharing time with his family, tending his garden, and cheering on the Buckeyes.
He was a devoted husband and compassionate caregiver to his loving wife, Patricia. Ed is also survived by his daughter, Brenda (Jeffrey) Bell; son, Gregory (Kathryn) Fletcher; grandchildren, Heather Bell, Holly (Tim) Kern, Samuel Fletcher, Benjamin Fletcher, and Nicholas Fletcher; brother Thomas (Chlois) Fletcher; sister Virginia (George) Nunemacher; great-grandsons, Trenton and Tyler Kern; several nephews and nieces and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William and John Fletcher and sister, Jean Farr.
Family will receive friends Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just south of I-270), where a private family service will be held. Inurnment at Lithopolis Cemetery.
