Edward Wackerman

Edward Allen Wackerman, age 88 of Powell, Ohio passed away on October 1, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Wackerman, parents John T. Wackerman and Ruth H. Wackerman, brother John T. Wackerman, daughter-in-law Kimberly S. Wackerman and Great Grandson Austin M. Denney.

He is survived by his children Richard S. Wackerman (Lisa), Robert A. Wackerman (Deborah), Ronald A. Wackerman and Robin R. Denney (Tim), fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Edward is also survived by Sharon Jackson and several nieces and nephews.

Ed proudly served our nation in the United States Army. He retired from Frigidaire and General Motors after a combined 42 years of service. He was a member of the TOM Club (Frigidaire Retiree’s) and Hilliard American Legion. He enjoyed volunteering for PIN (People In Need) food pantry in Delaware, Ohio and assisting in the Café at Lewis Center United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed serving our Lord alongside his daughter and son-in-law on many Church events at CrossRoads Baptist Church.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at CrossRoads Baptist Church, 5075 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43231 beginning at 10:00AM on Friday, October 15, 2021, with Pastor Paul Gabriel and Pastor Robert Wackerman officiating. Committal service and entombment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035. (The service will be live streamed via Facebook on the CrossRoads Baptist Church page (www.facebook.com/CrossRoadsOH), and then uploaded to the YouTube page at CrossRoads Baptist Church Columbus).
