Edwin M Wright

Edwin M. Wright, age 87 of Upper Arlington, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Edwin was born on February 5, 1923 in Madison County to the late Gay and Thetis (Rilee) Wright. Edwin is also preceded in death by brothers, Henry and Gaymon; and sisters, Harriet Wilkinson and Frances Burbridge. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy; sisters, Beverly Gease, Carol Brothers, both of Columbus and Pollie (John) Morison of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law, Dawna (Bob) Ealy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He served his country proudly in the Army from 1943 to 1946. Edwin was a long time member of Fishinger and Kenny Church of Christ and was involved in the Upper Arlington Senior Center and Hilliard Grange. He retired after 30 years of service at General Motors and attended their monthly timekeeper’s breakfast. Edwin was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan and was a sport fanatic. Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11am at Fishinger and Kenny Church of Christ, 1130 Fishinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Reverend Greg Tidwell officiating.
