Ellen Lula Hawking

Ellen Lula (Farrell) Hawking, age 89, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born in Vincennes IN. Ellen had traveled extensively as an Army wife before making Columbus, Ohio her family home. She was active in Birthright for a number of years as well as a member of St. Timothy’s parish. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Hawking. She was much loved be her family, and is survived by children, Jeff (Priscilla) Hawking, Tony (Stephanie) Hawking, Leslie (Bobby) Stansberry and Kenneth (Debra) Hawking, grandchildren Mark (Kathleen) Hawking, Tiffany (Alex) Lusht, Douglas (Anne) Hawking, Philip Hawking, Sean Hawking, Michele (Lee) McNeer, Natalie Hawking and Emily Ellen Hawking; great-grandchildren: Summer, Lillian, Ava, Max, Beck and Cade, sisters Winnie, Ann and Rita, brothers Paul and Raymond, sister-in-law, Carmen Betty Salender; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Thursday at the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road. Funeral Mass 11am Friday November 20, 2009 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, with Rev. Timothy Hayes, Celebrating. Private family entombment. Contributions may be made to a favorite Hospice Organization in Ellen’s memory.
