Ellen Lucille Lantz, age 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 04, 2013. She was born January 28, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Elbert and Artie (Stahl) Craven. She was a 1946 graduate of South High School and was retired from Columbus Public Schools. She was a member of the Church of the Redeemer United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russel; brother, Donald Craven; and son, Robert "Bo" Snoke. Ellen is survived by son, Ron (Karen) Snoke; daughter, Peggie (Dan) Hoffman; her wonderful grandchildren, Todd, Trent, and Trisha Hoffman; sister, Mary Osborn; many nieces and nephews; and many, many wonderful friends. At Ellen's request, she will be cremated and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Church of the Redeemer United Methodist, 235 McNaughten Road, Columbus, OH 43213. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ellen's memory to the Church of the Redeemer United Methodist Church.
