

December 30, 2024 we lost our beloved Mom, Gramma, Great Gramma & friend. Born July 20, 1927 in Anderson, Indiana to parents Allan Aaron Edwards (Gus) & Mary Louise O’Meara Edwards (Peg). Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Davies Hays, first grandchild Angel Bradley & son in law, Walter T. Bradley II. Eloise is survived by her daughter Jan Bradley, son, Bob Hays, his wife Anne, grandchildren, Wally Bradley, Joe Bradley, his wife Heather, Jacquelyn Bradley Eifert, her husband Dan, step grandchildren Justin Flaherty, his wife Brooke, Cassie McIntire, her husband, Andrew, great grandchildren, Joseph & Christian Bradley, Maxine, Hays & Lucille Eifert, step great grandchildren, Scout, Kennedy & Parker McIntire & Sunny Flaherty.
Eloise was a lifelong resident of Upper Arlington, class of 1945 & lifelong member of First Community Church. She attended Western College & graduated from The Ohio State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta.
Through the years Eloise was involved in many charitable organizations including, Childhood League, Board V, Theta Alumni Board, 1945 Class Reunion Board, Cancer Ray Board & First Community Guild, often holding the role as treasurer.
Eloise was a charter member of Muirfield Golf Club & Double D Country Club. She was a member of OSU Golf Club & full member of Scioto Country Club. Once becoming a Florida resident, Eloise became a member of Imperial Gold Club. Through the many years she enjoyed playing golf, she served on many committees, was blessed with 2 hole-in-ones & made many special, lasting friendships.
Eloise also loved playing bridge. Early on playing with friends from UA & Bexley, then joining groups at OSU Golf Club & Scioto Country Club where she played 2 weeks before her passing. She was often heard saying “I won a lot” & never left without her winnings.
Our family would like to thank her lifelong friend, Judy Shriner, loving relative Susie Hays, her wonderful bridge buddies at Scioto, her nurse from Ohio’s Hospice, Rachael & The UA Cares Program, for their special care & friendships.
Eloise’ family & friends feel blessed to have been a part of her life & she always felt so blessed to have had her loving husband, family & friends a part of her life. She brought so much joy, laughter & love to all of us & we will cherish our memories forever.
A memorial service will be at First Community Church South Campus, 1320 Cambridge Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43212, Friday January 24, 2025 at 3 pm, with a reception following in the Weist Room.
