Emil John Modla, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Preceded in death by wife, Mary and brothers, Edward of Jupiter, FL and Albert of Holmdel, NJ. He is survived by loving daughters, Nancy Modla Delfino and Joanna Modla Blackburn and many nieces and nephews from New Jersey and New York. John was a graduate of Rutgers University and was retired from Siebe PLC, formerly Ranco Inc. as a sales manager. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot with the 84th Combat Cargo Squadron, 2nd Combat Cargo Group in the Southwest Pacific, stationed in New Guinea, Biack, the Philippines, Okinawa and Japan. He was a devoted family man who worked hard to build a stable and loving home for his wife and family.A Memorial Service will be held 5:00 pm Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL 1740 Zollinger RD. where the family will receive friends after 4:00 pm Thursday until time of service.
