

Enola R. “Billie” Stimmel, 94 years young and a resident of Ft. Myers, Florida began her new life on Saturday, October 9, 2010. She was born in Somerset, Ohio to the late Frank and Ruby Stimmel. Billie grew up in Somerset along with her ten siblings where she graduated from Somerset High School and enjoyed playing basketball.
After moving to Columbus she owned the B & P Market on Sullivant Ave. then later she became a Real Estate Agent with CV Perry. Billie belonged to the Million Dollar Club during the 1960’s and 70’s. In 1976 she was honored as Top Sales Person. Billie was an outgoing person who loved her family and life. She truly enjoyed a good time which included going to dinner with her family, shopping for fine jewelry and clothing. She was a very stylish lady who always looked and acted younger than her years. She was “one of a kind”. Billie enjoyed traveling around the world, and liked spending time in Florida with her grandchildren and basking in the sun drinking a martini.
Billie loved her flowers and Cadillacs. She was a very “hip” grandmother. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bernard Stimmel, Mildred James, Betty Eads, Raymond Stimmel and Jim Stimmel; and son-in-law, Woody McGonigle.
Survived by her daughter, Peggy McGonigle; grandchildren, Gayla (Jim) Rogers, Karen (Doug) Brandel, Todd (Clara) McGonigle, Keith (Lynne) McGonigle, Brad (Toni) McGonigle and Teri ( Rob) Dubinsky; 16 great grandchildren, Jami, Jennifer, Lindsay, Jessica, Jackson, Kelly, Aaron, Adam, Jace, Courtney, Taylor, Mallory, Madison, Lainey, Jordan, and Ryan; great great grandchildren, Elin, Xavier, Isla, Jude, Anna, Gage, Gia and Carter; longtime companion, Ken Smith; siblings, Fran (Bob) Baughman, Wanda Shaffer, Pat Rutherford, Bobbie (Mike) Keckley, and Jesse Stimmel; many nieces and nephews. Visitation honoring her life will be held 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., where service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14th .
