

Etta Mae Parrish (nee Kissel), age 76, of Columbus, Ohio passed away January 18, 2013 in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born June 17, 1936 in Barnesville, OH to the late John Carney and Sarah (Hayes) Kissel; also preceded in death by her husband, Francis Eugene Parrish and sister, Martha (Carl) Miller. Etta worked for Lazarus for many years. Her most meaningful role in life was that of “mom” and “grammy”; not only to her own children, but to all of the kids in the neighborhood. She was a fan of the Buckeyes, NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers and whoever her kids were cheering for. She enjoyed camping, knitting, watching movies and TV shows and annual trips to Myrtle Beach. She leaves behind her beloved family, who will never forget how she touched their lives; survived by children, Paula (Dan) Hamilton, Jon (MaeLing) Parrish, Pam Parrish and Jerry (Debbie) Parrish; grandchildren, Sarah Hamilton, Amanda (Andy), Patti, Jenna, Toshua and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, Brycen, Treyce, Amelie and Kami; sisters, Ruth Cramblett and Linda (Rodney) McCormick; brother, John (Judy) Kissel; sister-in-law, Linda (Phil) Trenholm; nieces, nephews and her faithful friend, Teddy. Memorial Service 4pm Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where family will receive friends from 2-4pm; Rev.
