Eugene "Gene" Reeves, 71, departed on his final ride Friday, February 5, 2021, reuniting with his only child, Kimberly, exactly five years after she was laid to rest. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 21, 1949 and began his journey in Waverly, Ohio as the youngest of 14. He met the love of his life, Susan, before the Army deployed him to Vietnam. A free spirit and avid motorcyclist, Geno enjoyed making great friends along his journey. Known to loved ones as Gene, Geno, and PopO, he was a devoted father and sports coach who touched the lives of countless youth. Susan was the rock in his life who always had his back, whether on or off the motorcycle. Together they rode their Harley to 48 states, visiting numerous National Parks. A strong man, Geno overcame many obstacles in his life, but ultimately succumbed to Covid complications. Gene is survived by his bride of nearly 51 years, Susan; son-in-law, Carlos Ysasi and his special friend Tracy; beloved grandchildren, Austin, Carly and Nick; countless friends; and the extended members of the Reeves and Becker families whom he loved unconditionally. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Schoedinger Grove City, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS.
