

Evelyn M. Hanley, 83, of Hillsboro, formerly of Circleville, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Highland District Hospital. She was born June 7, 1928 in Jackson Twp., Pickaway Co., the daughter of the late Earl and Florence (Hartranft) Hanley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin and Paul Hanley; and sister, Rosemary Plum; brother-in-law, Joseph Liming; and sister-in-law, Eileen Hanley. Evelyn had worked at the Pickaway Co. Children’s Home and retired from Orient State Institute. She was a member of Samantha Freewill Baptist Church. She loved watching old shows on TV and prior to her failing eyesight had enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her sister, Delores Liming of Hillsboro; brothers, Don Hanley of Indianapolis, and Melvin (Marvine) Hanley of Circleville; several nieces, nephews and friends. Evelyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating.
