Florine Margaret Schaaf, age 98 of Upper Arlington, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022. Florine was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward and Frances (Dreiling) Antes. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Schaaf, brothers, Ed and Cliff Antes, and daughter-in-law, Rita Schaaf. Florine previously worked as a Red Cross Nurse during WWII. She was employed with White Haines and retired from Chemical Abstracts. She previously was an active volunteer with St. Andrews School where she worked closely with the school nuns. Florine was a true angel on earth. She was kind, generous, always saw the best in people and put others needs above her own. She will be greatly missed by her children, Kevin (Deanna) Schaaf, Karen (Keith) Potts, and Sarah Schaaf; step-son, David Schaaf; grandchildren, Michael (Alicia) and John Schaaf, and Jasmine, Adam, Colin, and Eric Potts; step-grandchildren, Justin and Evan; brother, Donald (Louella) Antes; and other extended family members and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a religious charity of your choice.
