

Forrest “Carl” Russell, age 83, of Circleville, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. He was born in Pickaway County on January 12, 1927 to the late Claude and Rene (Craig) Russell, being the oldest boy of 15 children. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the owner of F.C. Russell’s Lime and Fertilizer Company for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by brothers, Romie Russell, Ernest Claude “Tootie” Russell, and Kenneth Russell; sisters, Dorothy Frazier, Velma Jones, and Ruth Hoover. Survivors include his loving wife, Jennie (Shirey) Russell; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Rob Bastian; he was a very special grandfather to his grandchildren, Trevor and Presley Bastian; brothers, Raymond Russell, Nelson “Baker” Russell, and Harold Russell; sister, Mabel (Weldon) Owens, Hazel Frazier, Peggy (Robert) Miller, Marie (Robert) Parry, and Margaret (Donald) Rader, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thank you to everyone that touched his life, to Papa’s Reverend, the nurses and staff of Berger Hospice, and Pickaway Manor.
