Frances Jane Haggard

Frances “Jane” Haggard, age 89, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Columbus Alzheimer Care Center. She was born in Columbus on January 17, 1923, to the late Harry and Edith Clements. Jane worked for the State of Ohio in Vital Statistics for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with friends at her condo association, and she loved to visit the Argosy Casino. But the most important thing to Jane was her family, and she loved to spend time with them at every opportunity. She was a very loving and caring person, and she would welcome others into her family with open arms. She is survived by her children, Andrew (Gloria) Puskas, and William (Mary) Puskas; grandchildren, Nicole Wheeler (Andy Thompson), Ryan Puskas, Matthew Puskas, Michael (Cathy) Puskas, and Marie (Paul) Troya; and great grandchildren, Alyssa, Ava, and Andon Wheeler. Jane was preceded in death by her husband and dance partner of 51 years, Logan D. Haggard, Jr.; son, Danny; and siblings, Harry, Mary, and Anne. A Celebration of Life Service in Jane’s honor will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
