

Garnett Emerine Lingo, age 95, of Circleville, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Circleville Care and Rehibiliation Center. She was the daughter of George and Anna Peters. She was one of seven children born of that marriage, Roy, Everett, Fern, Virginia, Georgianne, Marjorie. All are deceased except Georgianne Stonerock. Garnett graduated from Circleville High School in 1933. Her first husband Emmitt Emerine preceded her in death in 1963, as well as a son Wendell in 1999, a grandson Mark Emerine died in 2005. Her second husband of 39 years, Lester Lingo died July 16, 2010. Garnett is survived by a son Emmitt Emerine Jr. of Lakeland, Florida and daughters, Darrell (Janet) Norris of Reynoldsburg and TD (Linda) VanCamp of Circleville and daughter-in-law, Wendell (Sally) Emerine of Southern Pines, North Carolina. She has nine grandchildren, Michael Payne, Kay Cantrell, Kelly Ross, Tonya Apke, Krista McGee, T.D. VanCamp III, Deidre Miesse, Chad Emerine and Eric Emerine and special friends George West and Sharon Poelman. Her many great-grandchildren affectionately called her Gigi. Garnett retired from the General Electric Company with 25 years of service.
Special thanks go to her caregivers at the Circleville Care and Rehabilitation Center where she spent her last 7 ½ years. We also thank Heartland Hospice for their loving care. A funeral service will be held at DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER Funeral Home at 1:00pm on Saturday , October 1, 2011.
