

Garrett Nicholas Weidner, age 23, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 5, 2011. He was born December 17, 1987 in Columbus, Ohio. Known by his family as “Uncle G”, Garrett was a loving, dependable, and hard working son and uncle. Garrett played many years of sports for the Gahanna Recreational League as well as the Church of the Nazarene. He was very athletic, competing in basketball, football, baseball, motocross and golf. He graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 2006, and then pursued a successful career at Newlook Sidings. Garrett enjoyed going on cruises with his family, camping, as well as hunting and fishing with his father. Garrett was an avid Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed all motor sports, X Box 360, or any competition while spending time with his closest friends. His favorite restaurant was Genji’s Japanese Steak House and his favorite music group was Metallica. He is survived by parents, Robert and Carol Weidner; sisters, Diana (Doug) Lleonart Suter and Brooke Lleonart; niece, Ava Cady; nephews, Tyler Suter and Hunter Suter; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. Garrett will be missed by his loving family and wonderful friends, including his girlfriend Julie Elyse Jones. Friends may call 4-8pm Tuesday, May10, 2011 and 11-12pm Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL,1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at BEECHER RD) Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 12pm; Andrew Hoover, Celebrant; Interment at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
