Gary helped me to become who I am today.  I kept typing this out and it then it deletes.  Hopefully it is not copying every time.  He changed my life forever - made me Ms. Barbizon and I went on to do my own video show for 10 years.  I lost complete contact with him after Barbizon.  I can't believe this...He changed my life forever and I'm so sorry for your loss. My favorite memory was partying with Joe and Gary one nigh in Columbus almost 20 years ago. We hit the town and danced the night away. My heart goes out to Joe. We have not talked in many years but I have never forgot you Joe. Gary was a beautiful, friendly man.

I met Gary in 2006 when he decided to open an office in NYC.  I was involved in an MPI Committee, producing an Auction to benefit our Charity.  Gary jumped right in, offering his time, talent and resources to help us produce an unforgettable event that raised a great amount of money.  I've attached a photo cover from the event.

We kept in touch over the years, attempted to work with one another on occasion, but unfortunately, did not meet as often as we should have ... those conflicting schedules that keep everyone 'busy' and not taking the time to just enjoy some time with the other people in our lives.   I never saw Gary without a smile on his face, always imaging the unimaginable and ready to "Make Magic" whereever he went.  I regret more than anything that I didn't make the time to meet him when he last contacted me in the fall.    He was a beautiful person, a smart businessman, an indefitiguable optimist!  God Bless him, his family and friends ... we will all miss his endearing charm and smile.

Gary and I became friends immediately. He was the type of person who was always there when you needed help with anything. I loved the passion that Gary had for his work and commitment to his customers. He will be missed forever. My condolences go out to Joe and to the rest of his family and many, many friends.

A true friend I wish we'd seen more of each other....Joe I can't find the words to express what I'd like to say.Please think of this as a tight hug as I am out of the country and wish I could be there for you.

My name is David Finley. I am a lighting and set designer. I was introduced to Gary by David Shepard, Executive Director for DIFFA, Design Industries Foundations Fighting Aids. My collaboration with Gary was on the project, "Dining by Design".  The event is presented and produced by DIFFA, showcasing powerhouses of the Design and Corporative Arena. 
I had the pleasure to work with Gary on this one event only. In that time I saw an intense care for the project. Gary had a wonderful depth and style, his ability to be versatile and adaptable in his design sense and execution was inspiring. Gary was resourceful and generous with his ideas, materials and shared his concepts with a kind and gentle spirit.

The world with miss this man and I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to his entire family and to his life partner Joseph Stachak. The time I knew Gary was far to brief.  My life is richer having had the opportunity to collaborate with this talented and warm-hearted man.

I wish to extend my condolences to the Bias Family. I was so proud to have met and worked with Gary at two special events, in Columbus. He was incredibly, incredibly talented. But most importantly, he was an incredible person to have known. It truly was an honor to have met and worked with Gary. Thank you Gary for all the lives you've touched; I am forever grateful to have met you.

Gary was a great inspiration to me.  His absolute thrill after a successful event was always special to witness.  I will cherish those times with him, and the talks we had about life, business, and friends.  We will miss you G.B.

As I'm sure a lot of people experienced with Gary, I worked with him once and felt I had made a friend for life.  He will be greatly missed.

To those that go before us we thank them for leading the way and we  keep a candle lit in their memory.We will keep the light of memory burning no matter how faint and distant it might appear. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.

Joseph, I am so sad to hear this news about Gary. He was a visionary to say the least and very talented in creating masterpiece events. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and give Goldie my condolences. Gary was a good son who loved his mother dearly.

Gary's vision of creating "something special" was truly unique!  I remember the jaw-dropping reaction of all who attended my daughter's Sweet Sixteen when they saw the transformation of an empty warehouse into a magical, unforgettable evening and witnessed Gary's talent and charm! As both a client and friend of Gary and Joseph, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences on Gary's untimely death.  He was truly one of a kind - creative, exuberant and visionary.  I am certain that he is currently working with the angels in order to produce an "event" never before witnessed in heaven!

I remember Gary as the most awesome drum major in  W.Va.  I loved watching him on the field.  I lost contact with Gary until about 7 years ago when I ran into him at a Grandview Heights Chamber social at EventCo.  What a surprise!!!  Grandview and the world is at a loss of such an amazing, talented, creative person.  RIP Gary.

Gary and I worked together on several events when I was with OSU.  I so admired his "can do" spirit and his big ideas.  His smile literally lit up the room.  I was so saddened and surprised to hear today of his passing.  He always spoke with such love and devotion when we veered off the business path to talk about home, family, and our dogs.  He really was special.

Gary and I worked many events together in the early days before the EventCo. company was even established. With duct tape, creativity and smile, Gary showed me that anything was possible and he had a way of bringing out the best in everyone he was around.  I am sure that even through this, Gary is looking down, smiling, and begging us all for "more energy" because he would want the show to go on and on with or sadly without him. As a friend, mentor and inspiration, I will miss him dearly.

I worked with Gary and he was one of the most creative and talented people I know.  I'm sad to think that we have lost such a passionate professional in the special event business.  He will be missed by those still in the event business and I know he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

I was deeply saddened today to read about Gary's unfortunate passing.  Gary and I had not been in contact since graduating from Milton High School and had just recently reconnected on Facebook.  I will never forget all of the fun and laughter we shared in the MHS band, activities outside of school, and the memories of joining the Bias' family vacation to Myrtle Beach so many years ago.  Gary will be remembered by all those lives that he touched with his great smile, personality and compassion.

My deepest condolences to Goldie, Paula, David and Joseph.  Gary will truely be missed.

We have known Gary and Joseph for the past 4 years and have been fortunate to not only have them as great neighbors, but great friends too.  We will remember Gary for his infectious smile, his quick wit, and amazing sense of creativity and perfection when it came to anything he was a part of.  

We will miss him dearly, but have so many good memories to remember him by.  Our deepest condolences to Joseph and his family.

This goes back a ways, but will always remember the Bias family opening their house to the cub scouts, and Gary being part of the troop. Always had a smile on his face, just like the photo. Such an upbeat person, that is how I will always remember him, all the way through the days in the Student Center at Marshall. Lot of prayer and sympathy notes going through the class of '79 at Milton, as we have just recently gotten connected via the internet.

Gary has not only been my boss, he's been my closest friend and confidant. I don't know what I would have done without his constant presence in my life these last 10 years.

My deepest sympathies to you Joseph, and to Goldie, Paula and David. He will be sorely missed.
