

Gary Dean Boucher passed away from this life and into the arms of Jesus on January 1, 2025, at his home in Groveport, OH where he was surrounded by his family and beloved pets. Gary was born on May 13, 1949, in Lancaster, OH to his parents Reginald and Betty (McNabb) Boucher who proceed him in death. Gary graduated from Lancaster Senior High School in 1967 then proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1979. After the military, Gary worked in several different areas of electronics or IT for the next 35 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Groveport, where he became good friends with many. His passions included being a youth group leader with the St Mary Youth Leadership (SMYL) for eight years and then serving on the board of Groveport Madison Human Needs (GMHN) for the next eight years. Gary was always ready to be a helping hand or listening ear when needed.
Gary is survived by his spouse of 22 years, Christine; in-laws Max (Margo) Bland and Kim Reid; children Dean (Karen) Boucher, Tracy (Troy) Jackson, Nathan (Grace Dillon) Gawarecki, Hollie (Noah) Hanna, Aleah, Mackenzie and Anthony; grandchildren Felicia (Charles) Azbell, Ryan (Hannah) Jackson, Dean Allen, Jordan and Asher; great-grandchildren Bentley, Walker, Theo, Jolene, Xyla, and Ashlee; nieces Megan, Kelsey and Ramona; friends Lennie Conrad, Paul Fitch and John Reid; and beloved dogs Reggie and Ms. Violet and cat Gizmo.

A visitation for Gary will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Schoedinger East, 5360 E Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232 with Military honors taking place at 6:00 PM. A private family service will take place at a later date.
