Gary Wayne Zink, Jr., 39 passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 after battling cancer for the last few months. He was a 1997 graduate of Teays Valley H.S. Gary's family was very important to him. He cherished the time that he was able to spend with them. He was an avid modified series stock car racer at the Columbus Motor Speedway. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and bowling with his friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wallace and Margaret Hickman and Frank "Red" and Mary "Liz" Zink. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Amanda Zink; parents, Gary and Debbie Zink; brother, Chris (Dustin) Zink; special niece, Cassidy; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and racing friends and family. Gary's family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Rd., Grove City, Ohio 43123. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery.
