Gayle D Evans

Gayle D. Evans, age 90 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021. She attended St. Mary's of the Springs and graduated from University High School in 1949. She entered college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio as a family third-generation student. She was initiated into Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority as a freshman. After transferring to The Ohio State University, she graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and later was certified in Elementary Education. She began her career with Byer and Bowman advertising agency. This was followed with teaching assignments with kindergarten through the fourth grade in the City of Columbus School System until retirement after 29 years. She always had a special affection for all things flora and fauna, nurturing everything from kittens to native deer as a hobby. She was preceded by her parents Richard H. Evans, Sr. and Frances Davis Evans, and nephew Mark E. Fiebert. She is survived by her sister Elyse Evans Fiebert and brother Richard H. Evans, Jr. Also surviving is nephew David R. Fiebert (Mary Ann) and their children son David M. Fiebert, and daughter Lauren F. Fiebert. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Ridge, 2225 Taylor Park Drive, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068 or Mount Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
