George Ernest Brown

George E. Brown, age 78, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2013. He was born June 23, 1934 in Sciotoville, Ohio and retired from the S.M. Flickinger Company. George enjoyed fishing, playing poker with the guys, and spending time in Myrtle Beach and Florida. His top priority in life was his family; and he especially loved being a grandpa. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Brown; brothers, Everett and Oakey Brown and brother-in-law, Bill Bare. He is survived by his loving wife, of 59 years, Bertha (Bare) Brown; son, Dale Brown; daughters-in-law, Cathy Brown and Patricia Brown; grandchildren, Daniel (Melissa) Brown, Christina (Jeremy) Dennis, Anthony (Brandy) Brown, Shannon Brown, Amber Brown and Aaron Price; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Justin, Sierra, Garrett, Landon and Gabe; brother, Herbert (Nancy) Brown; sister, Phyllis (Joe) Lauder; sisters-in-law, Reva Green, Betty Scott and Sue Bare; beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will receive friends 2 - 5 PM Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday.
