

George R. Lowe, age 67, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. He worked as a supervisor at Buckeye Steel Casting and also worked at Zettler's Hardware for many years. He was an all-around good husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He never failed to offer help to anyone in need. George enjoyed being outdoors whether fishing, feeding the birds and squirrels in his yard, or just taking a ride through the country. He also enjoyed watching movies, family vacations, and planting his garden. George was from a large family and enjoyed spending time with them. He liked playing lottery scratch offs and going to the casino on occasion. George was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mae nee Browning Lowe; his sister, Jewel Maxine Adkins; his son, Chester William Lowe; and brothers-in-law Kent and Tom Grunkemeyer. Survived by his wife, June; daughters, Jennifer Webb and Tara Lowe; grandson, Caleb Webb; siblings, Linda Wood, Harry Lowe, Gladys (Ron) Watson, Elsie D. Johnson, Terry (Crystal) Lowe, and Vicki (Tim) Mayle, and Hank Harrison; brothers-in-law, William (Myra) Grunkemeyer, Tim Grunkemeyer, and Mark (Kimberley) Grunkemeyer, and along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends on July 2, 2018 from 4:00- 7:00 pm at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Gahanna, Ohio 43230; where a Funeral Service will be held on July 3rd at 11:00 am.
