

George Herbert Thompson 80 passed away Tuesday October 12, 2021. He was born September 4, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio. He went to Central High School. George was an employee of Sutphen Towers for 23 plus years. He was very proud of being a part of building firetrucks.
He loved his vegetable garden and loved beautiful flowers surrounding his home. George also enjoyed watching Nascar racing. He loved the summertime and just walking around the park greeting and talking to everyone. He was a very outgoing and a loving man, he knew no strangers. He was the parks welcoming committee, everyone knew him and loved him so very much. He absolutely loved each and every one of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved spending time with them. His daughter, he told everyone she was a blessing and doesn’t know where he would be without her.
He was preceded in his death by his mother Helen (Cramer) Baumann, his father Clyde Baumann and his Son-in-Law Gregory Wilson.
George is survived by his loving daughter Tia (Thompson) Wilson; his beloved grandsons Nicholas, Kyle, Gavyn and Corbyn; great grandchildren Jayden, Kaedence and Fraya; his loving brother Frank, sisters Sherry and Vicky; and many other relatives and friends.
Services entrusted to Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service – Grove City, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio where visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, October 23, 2021, followed by a Balloon Release.
