Gerald Lee Crist

Gerald L. "Jerry" Crist, age 71, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 08, 2015. Jerry was born on June 18, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from West High School and Columbus State Community College. Jerry was a veteran of the US Marines and served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a Metalologist at Battelle Institute and as a Technician for OSU. Jerry was member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending his time working in the garden, camping, cooking, riding his motorcycle and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell J. Crist; mother, Betty J. Crist - Martin; and step-father, Charles Martin. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Beverly Crist; daughters, Heather (Scott) Hileman and Erica (Jeff) Arszman; grandchildren, Allison, Juliet, Evan and Alexandra; brother, Ronald (Patricia) Crist; step brother and sister, Fred Martin and Karen Voltz; and Aunt Nancy Fenstamaker; other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Tuesday 5-8 pm at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10:00 am. Entombment Sunset Cemetery.
