

Gertrude "Trudy" (Moss) Gardner, age 88, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. She was born in Pocahontas County, WV on May 23, 1926. Trudy met the love of her life and husband, Harrison Gardner when they were teenagers. They grew up just miles apart. Trudy graduated from nursing school and worked as a registered nurse in Lewisburg, WV. It was there, they had their first daughter, Betsy. The family moved to Columbus after Harrison accepted a teaching job at The Ohio State University Veterinary School. They welcomed their second daughter, Mary upon their arrival and also became members of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and harmonica, singing, dancing, and traveling with her family and friends. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Trudy will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harrison McKim Gardner; daughters, Elizabeth "Betsy" Nini and her spouse Benny Nini, Mary Gardner Stotts and her spouse Michael Stotts; grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Fry, Michael (Ashley) Nini, Nicholas Nini, Michael Stotts Jr., and Cally (Ryan) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Porter Nini and Matthew and Madeleine Fry; nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Friends may call from 11 am - 1pm on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger RD., where the funeral service will begin at 1pm on Friday. Dr. Tracy R.
