Gloria Mae – (Holiday) Schmitt born July 16, 1930 in Columbus – died March 29, 2011 in Sun City West, Arizona. A 1948 graduate of Grandview High School, Gloria then attended The Ohio State University joining Alpha Phi sorority. Gloria is survived by her husband, Norman of 61 years; sons, Kurt (Mary Ann) Schmitt of Powell, Craig, and Kent (Heidi) of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Marsha Buering; grandchildren, Greg (Carey) and Andrea Schmitt of Columbus. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother, always encouraging and supporting her family. Later in life, she pursued her interest in painting and the arts.
