Gretchen Porter

Gretchen Porter, age 98, passed away on May 31, 2013. She is preceded in death by her sister and 5 brothers, her son-in-law, and her husband of 67 years, Belvry. Gretchen is survived by her daughters; Willadene Bernard, Carol Porter, Sue (Sam) Hignite, grandchildren; Jill (David) Esworthy, Keith (Kim) Hignite, Joe Plumb, Scott Hignite, Derick (Lauren) Hignite, great-grandchildren; Amanda, Ben, Brett, Hannah, Kali, Breann, Alyssa, Kady, Emily, great great-grandchildren; Byron, Josh, Grace, and Sarah. She was the matriarch of the family and loved spending time with them. She was also a long time member of the Bible Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway where funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 1pm with Pastor James Baugess officiating. Interment will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Waverly, OH at 3:30pm. Contributions may be made to Trinity Broadcasting Network in Gretchen's name.
