

H. Earl Taylor a long time resident of Gahanna, Ohio passed away at his home surrounded by his family on December 25, 2019 at the age of 79. He was born October 15, 1940 in Canton, Ohio to the late Harry and Dorothy Taylor. He served in the United States Army as a medical specialist before beginning his career as the owner of Taylor Transportation Company. In his career Earl created a longtime partnership with the Hennessey family and Putnam Truckload Direct that he always showed a special appreciation. He enjoyed many years of golfing with friends and for the past 20 years he spent his time at Buckeye Lake on his boat. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather known as "Papa" to his grandkids that he supported in every activity. Although Earl could be stubborn or cranky at times, he had a passion for living life and never giving up. But most important, he had a huge heart and caring soul. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Mary Ann Mensavage Taylor and brother Roy L. Taylor. He is survived by his children Todd Taylor and Lora (Jeff) Foulke and grandchildren Braden, Jordan and Megan. He is also survived by his extended family Frank, Gala, John McKnight and Beaulah Aurentz and special friends Jim and Linda Hollis, John and Ali Manson and Melda Morgan as well as many other friends and family that Earl truly loved. Family will receive friends from Noon to 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 29 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna. A private inurnment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
