Harold Leroy Groves, 91, passed away on December 18, 2009. He was born in Amlin, OH on September 12, 1918 to Noah and Rebecca Groves. Harold is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wilma Thomas Groves; his son, Gary and wife Sylvia of Friendswood, TX; grandchildren, Alison Groves of Nashville, TN and Brian Groves, of Houston, TX; and niece, Roseanne Fisher of Plano, TX. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Viola Wolpert and husband Herman and Velma Simpson. Harold proudly served five years in Africa and Northern Italy during World War II. He acted as post commander for his local Ohio VFW group for several years.
